Synopsis – Pending…
Change Company –
If you would like to search for another company by name quickly, but do not
want to return to the search pages, simply type the company’s name or ticker
symbol into the text box. A window will
automatically display as you type to show you the matches available for the
letters or names you type. Click on a
specific company to go directly to that company’s page.
Recent Companies – Click on the drop down menu to access a list of recently viewed
companies listed by their ticker symbols and exchanges. Click on any of the names in the list to
quickly return to that company’s page.
Company
Financials
This tab shows the financial
details from the balance sheet, income statement, stamen of cash flows, and
retained earnings statements for the company selected in the Search Results
page.
It consists of six sub-pages,
detailing various aspects of the company’s financial statements. The sub-pages
are:
- As
Reported
This is always shown first and allows
you to select specific financial statements, specify the dates shown, select that annual or quarterly values
are displayed, and allows you to choose what scale and currency in which
to display data.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether to display
annual or quarterly values.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether you wish to
view financial data from the company’s Balance Sheet, Income Statement,
Statement of Cash Flows, or Retained Earnings Statements. You may also choose to view all of
these at once by selecting All
Sections.
- Select the number of years of data you wish to view
from 3 years/quarters to 15. You
may also choose to view all available years for a company by selection All Available Years.
- To show statement footnotes, be certain to click the
check box beside Show Footnotes.
- Choose the currency you wish to display financial
values in. The As Reported
currency is selected by default.
- Choose the scale you wish to use for financial
values. The As Reported scale is
selected by default.
- Once you have made your selections, click Refresh to display data for the
new specifications.
- Hovering your mouse over the icon will display a small window with
details about the audit status of the financials displayed.
- Prelims
This displays preliminary balance sheets and income statements.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether to display
annual or quarterly values.
- To show statement footnotes, be certain to click the
check box beside Show Footnotes.
- Choose the currency you wish to display financial
values in. The As Reported
currency is selected by default.
- Choose the scale you wish to use for financial
values. The As Reported scale is
selected by default.
- Once you have made your selections, click Refresh to display data for the
new specifications.
- Hovering your mouse over the icon will display a small window with
details about the audit status of the financials displayed.
- Standardized
This shows the transactions and trade activity of company insiders for
periods of 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether to display
annual or quarterly values.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether you wish to
view financial data from the company’s Balance Sheet, Income Statement,
Statement of Cash Flows, or Retained Earnings Statements. In addition to these, you may also
select to view the Common Size – Balance Sheet and Common Size – Income
Statements. If you wish to view
all of these at once, select All
Sections.

about each data point on the report and how its value has been determined
by the company.
- After each financial value notice that there is a
“>” icon. Hovering over this
will display quick text explaining that clicking the icon will show you
the formula used to generate that value.
- Formulae – Clicking the “>” will open a new window with
the formula used to calculate a specific value item on a financial
statement.
- Expand
All/ Collapse All –
Clicking either of these will either expand all of the formula
breakdown steps or collapse the formula to its most basic form.
- Clicking the icon will open the statement in which
the data used to determine the value is located. (e.g. The company’s
10k statement)
- Restated
This allows you to view a
company’s financial statements with restated values.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether to display
annual or quarterly values.
- Select from the drop-down menu whether you wish to
view financial data from the company’s Balance Sheet, Income Statement,
Statement of Cash Flows, or Retained Earnings Statements. In addition to these, you may also
select to view the Common Size – Balance Sheet and Common Size – Income
Statements. If you wish to view
all of these at once, select All
Sections.
- Select the number of years of data you wish to view
from 3 years/quarters to 15. You
may also choose to view all available years for a company by selection All Available Years.

This displays profitability, liquidity, debt management, asset management,
and per share ratios generated based on the company’s financial details.

may also choose to view all available years for a company by selection All Available Years.
- Hovering your mouse over the icon will display a brief explanation
about each data point on the report and how its value has been determined
by the company.
- After each financial value notice that there is a

This displays variance and the three and five year compound annual growth
rate analyses for the company’s income statement, balance sheet, and
ratios.
- Income
Statement – The analysis for the income
statement always displays first.
- Balance
Sheet – Click Balance Sheet to view
the analysis based on balance sheet values.
- Ratio
Analysis – Click Ratio Analysis to view
the analysis based on the company’s ratios.
At the right of each
page is the My Mergent Tools function. This enables you to add the
currently selected company to the Company Analysis List or add executives to
your Executive List. From the My Mergent Tools buttons you may also access the
Company and Executive Alerts options.

link which will allow you to download the data available on that page into a
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or opens a printer friendly page so that you may
print the page directly.
