In 1900, John Moody published Moody's ® Manual of Industrial and Miscellaneous Securities, the first guide to U.S. public companies. With its U.S. Company Data, Mergent continues to extend that tradition for high-quality, in-depth company information to the Internet.
U.S. Company Data provides a fully searchable database of 15,000 U.S. public companies (active and inactive) listed on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ exchanges. Each company report incorporates up-to-the-minute news items.
Mergent Online subscribers will have access to Wall Street consensus earnings estimates on all companies in the database followed by at least one Wall Street analyst. Mergent's company files also provide access to EDGAR ® filings dating back to 1993 and updated daily.
U.S. Company Archives Data holds the full business descriptions, histories and financial statements for companies that were acquired, went bankrupt, liquidated or merged out of existence from 1996 onward. The archive continues to grow each year as more companies are added.
With the introduction of the Mergent International Manual in 1981, Mergent became the world's first provider of global public company information. Now the industry's most detailed and comprehensive collection of non-U.S. public company information is available on Mergent Online.
Mergent maintains data on 20,000 non-U.S. companies (active and inactive) - more companies from more countries than any other international database. Subscribers have immediate access to companies representing 95% of the non-U.S. global market capitalization.
